PRESIDENT of the Republic of Namibia, Dr. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, has arrived at the COP30 Conference Centre in Belém, Brazil, where she is participating in the 30th United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties taking place from 6 to 7 November 2025.
COP30, held under the theme “From Agreement to Action: Accelerating the Implementation of Climate Solutions”, brings together world leaders and key stakeholders to advance global efforts toward a sustainable, inclusive and low-carbon future.

President Nandi-Ndaitwah attended the opening session on Thursday alongside fellow Heads of State and Government.
She is scheduled to deliver Namibia’s National Statement on Friday, 7 November, reaffirming the country’s commitment to the Paris Agreement and to meeting its Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs).
In addition to the plenary, the President is participating in two thematic discussions chaired by Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva: Energy Transition, and Ten Years of the Paris Agreement – NDCs and Finance.
She will further join a high-level round-table on the energy transition and hold bilateral meetings with other leaders to strengthen cooperation on climate resilience and sustainable development.
Namibia’s engagement at COP30 highlights the country’s growing role in promoting green industrialisation and contributing to global climate solutions aimed at building a more resilient and equitable future.
