PRESIDENT Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has departed for Belém, Brazil, to represent Namibia at the 30th Conference of the Parties (COP30), scheduled for 6–7 November 2025.
Held under the theme “From Agreement to Action: Accelerating the Implementation of Climate Solutions,” COP30 will convene global leaders to advance meaningful progress on climate resilience and the implementation of international climate commitments.
“Environmental protection has been at the centre of the Namibian Government since Independence, and that is a constitutional obligation,” President Nandi-Ndaitwah said, reaffirming Namibia’s commitment to the Rio Conventions on biodiversity, desertification, and climate change.
