According to ministry spokesperson Simon Nghipandulwa, the visit focused on Katima Mulilo and the surrounding constituencies, where the Ministry continues to play an active role in supporting local agricultural development.

“All projects visited are beneficiaries of the Ministry’s Agricultural Value Chain Programme, a key initiative designed to enhance agricultural productivity, improve market access, strengthen value addition, and empower local communities,” he said.

He added that the ultimate goal is to achieve food self-sufficiency and sustainable economic growth within the region.

Nghipandulwa said that among the key sites visited were the Liselo Horticulture Gardens and the Chefuzwe Poultry Value Chain Beneficiary.

He explained that these initiatives are prime examples of the Ministry’s commitment to supporting viable, locally driven agricultural enterprises that contribute meaningfully to the socio-economic upliftment of the Zambezi Region.
