THE Namibian police in the Oshikoto Region are investigating two separate rape incidents involving two female victims who are both mentally challenged.
One case was registered at Omuthiya, where a 70-year-old suspect allegedly raped a 32-year-old woman who is mentally challenged.
The incident occurred in a rural village in the Omuthiya policing area sometime between 07:00 and 12:00 on Friday.
The suspect has not yet been arrested.
Meanwhile, the police at Okatope, also in the Oshikoto Region, have arrested a 35-year-old Angolan national accused of raping a mentally challenged woman, aged 22, on Friday evening.
It is alleged that the incident occurred on the sidelines of a wedding ceremony.
