A 31-YEAR-OLD Angolan man drowned in a pond at Omandakani village, Eheke, Oshana Region on Friday.
According to the police, the man was last seen on Thursday, 21 August 2025, at about 16:00 after he and others rescued a cow that was stuck in a pond.
“It is reported that after the cow was rescued, the deceased was muddy and went to wash himself at a nearby pond, where others left him. He never returned home,” the police explained.
His relatives went to look for him on Friday and found his shoes and clothes at the pond. The police were notified, and his lifeless body was recovered by NAMPOL divers.
Next of kin have been informed.
