A MALE resident of Opuwo in the Kunene Region, who sent N$1,200 to a man he thought he could trust to buy a welding machine for him, has opened a case of theft under false pretenses after the e-wallet recipient vanished with the money.
According to the police, the 44-year-old victim sent the e-wallet at around 13:00 on Friday, but the money recipient has since failed to deliver the machine to the buyer.
The money was not recovered, and the suspect is still at large.
