THE 59-year-old man who tragically shot himself in the head on Monday has been identified as Carlos Miljo.
This was confirmed by NamPol Head of Public Relations, Deputy Commissioner Kauna Shikwambi, who said the incident occurred around 16:40 at the Crown Security office on Erosweg Street in Klein Windhoek.
According to Shikwambi, Carlos reportedly died from a self-inflicted shotgun wound to the head within his office.
Miljo was declared deceased by medics at the scene.
Shikwambi indicated that no foul play is suspected, and no suicide note was found at the scene.
The Security Association of Namibia (SAN) Council has extended its heartfelt condolences to one of its founding families and esteemed colleagues, the Miljo family, following the passing of Carlos.
The SAN Council urged all members to be sensitive during this difficult time and to refrain from speculation or sharing unconfirmed details.
