IN a spectacular and historically significant evening, Johanna Swartbooi has been crowned Miss Namibia 2025, marking a remarkable comeback in her pageant journey.

This victory is particularly meaningful for Swartbooi, who previously secured the second runner-up title in the Miss Namibia 2019 competition, demonstrating her perseverance and dedication.

For the first time in its history, the Miss Namibia pageant ventured north from the capital, with the Ongwediva Queen Hall playing host to the prestigious event.

The venue was absolutely packed, with thousands of excited spectators filling every seat, creating an electric atmosphere that buzzed with anticipation and celebration.

The move to Ongwediva represents a significant step in making the national event more accessible and inclusive for communities across Namibia.

Joining Swartbooi in the top tier were Uatjiri Mbaisa, who was named the first runner-up, and Tuilika Andreas, who earned the title of second runner-up.

Swartbooi now proudly inherits the crown from Prisca Anyolo, who served as Miss Namibia 2024.

This handover marks the beginning of a new reign and a fresh chapter for the country’s premier beauty pageant.

The grand event was graced by the presence of high-ranking dignitaries, including Vice President Lucia Witbooi and Minister of Information, Communication and Technology, Emma Theofelus.
