THE Namibian Police Force at Wanaheda Police Station in the Khomas Region is appealing to the public for assistance in locating Jade Perala Matyayi, an 11-year-old girl who went missing from her home in Kingsley Street, Goreangab, on Thursday, 10 July 2025, at around 16:00.
Jade is described as a well-built Namibian girl with a dark complexion, brown eyes, and plaited hair. She speaks English and is fluent in Oshiwambo. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a red and white Oshiwambo traditional dress and a pair of slippers.

According to the police, Jade was last seen playing in the yard with a friend, who is also a neighbour. The two were left unattended by Jade’s mother. When the mother returned, she discovered that both girls were missing and went to inquire at the friend’s house. She was later informed by another friend of the neighbour that Jade’s friend had returned home alone after dropping off some borrowed books.
Despite efforts by family members to search for her, Jade has not yet been found.
