NO MORE: A Pentecostal pastor who, two years ago, allegedly threatened his church’s critics with death has died. Pastor Shalongo Haimbodi died on Monday, five days after his 58th birthday. The now-deceased man of the cloth was in the news in 2023 when his church in Onheleiwa village, Omusati Region, was accused of causing disharmony in the community by “exposing” alleged witches — a practice that left several families torn apart and created enmity between neighbours. When confronted about his apparent deceptions and possible violations of human rights, Haimbodi reacted by threatening his critics with death. Members of the bereaved family said arrangements for the deceased pastor’s funeral will be announced in due course.
