DECEASED: Julio Correa Mendonça, a well-known businessman of Ongwediva, passed away on Wednesday, a few days before his 86th birthday on the 3rd of July. Also known as “Pelican” — the name of his business alongside the Ongwediva–Oshakati main road — Mendonça started his business career in the Cunene Province of Angola before permanently moving to Namibia when the decades-long civil war broke out in 1975.
