MASS SLAUGHTER: A case of stock theft has been registered in the Outjo area, after a mass slaughter of about 30 cattle at two farms in the area, with meat hung in the bush. About four cattle were found alive, which had to be put down as they were mutilated at the knees. This is not the first incident of this nature, in October 2024, the informanté reported an incident of stock theft and animal cruelty case, where 18 cattle were stolen by four men and hacked on their legs to immobilise them. The incident happened in the Outjo area during the night of 5th October 2023.
