THE Namibian Police Force at Sesriem Police Station, Hardap Region, is seeking public assistance in tracing the whereabouts of a tourist from Switzerland, Alois Ottiger, an 83-year-old Swiss male national.
Ottiger was reported missing on Sunday, 9 March 2025, at about 17:00 after he left his room at Desert Hills Lodge in the Sesriem area and did not return. The search for his whereabouts began immediately after his disappearance but has not yielded any positive results.
He is 1.73m tall and was last seen wearing white clothes.
Anyone who might have seen him or has information regarding his whereabouts is requested to contact Hardap Regional Crime Investigation Coordinator, Deputy Commissioner Mwatongwe, at 081 246 1121 or any nearest police station.
