SIGNIFICANT rainfall is once again expected across various areas, from north to south, over the coming days, with Thursday’s rainfall predicted to mainly affect the northern, central, and eastern parts of the country.

According to the Namibia Meteorological Service, the Kunene, north-central, Otjozondjupa, Khomas, and Omaheke regions are expected to experience moderate to heavy storms on Thursday. However, the showers are likely to spread more widely, with several areas outside these regions also anticipated to receive rain from Thursday.
In fact, the Namibia Meteorological Service has highlighted Rundu, Ondangwa, Windhoek, and Keetmanshoop as some of the locations likely to experience rainfall on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
Given this forecast, the Namibia Meteorological Service has warned that flash floods are expected to persist in various parts of the country, potentially disrupting traffic in some areas. The public is therefore advised to prepare accordingly and exercise caution.
