RIVERS ON THE RISE: The recent widespread, heavy rainfall has left its mark in many places across the country, from north to south, with the Namib Desert being no exception. The impact of this is particularly visible in the country’s rivers. One striking example is the Diep River, which flows through the Namib Desert and has been revitalised following the recent heavy rains. This breathtaking moment was captured and shared by Gondwana Collection Namibia, highlighting why so many Namibians have such a deep affection for the rain. The Diep River isn’t the only one to have been revived; many social media users have posted photos and videos of stunning rivers across the country, from the north to the south, including the Huab, Tsiseb, Swakop, Kuiseb, Kavango, and Goantagab, among others.
