The Executive Director of the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology, Audrin Mathe, unveiled the official mourning portrait of the late Founding President, Dr Sam Shafiishuna Nujoma.
Mathe announced that the portrait and condolence books are available nationwide for anyone who wishes to pay their respects.

“The portrait will be available to everyone who needs it, but more specifically, the government will make it available at the governors’ regional offices, at the Office of the Prime Minister, at the Office of the Judiciary, at the offices of the National Council and the National Assembly. It will also be available at the residence of the Founding President,” he said.
He also announced that visiting hours at the late president’s residence will be from 14:00 to 16:00. However, he emphasised that no visitations will be allowed on Saturdays and Sundays.
Mathe further warned the public about a fake list circulating on social media, which is requesting donations in honour of the late Founding President. He clarified that while donations are welcome, the government is not circulating any list, and urged the public not to fall for the scam.
