LUCAS Lungikesha, 33, died after he was allegedly stabbed in the chest with a knife by a 21-year-old man at the Illegal informal settlement.
Otjozondjupa Community Policing Sub-division Senior Inspector Maureen Mbeha said the incident occurred at 17:00 on Sunday.
“It is alleged that the suspect stabbed the deceased in the chest with a knife, and the victim succumbed to his injuries,” she said.
She added that a preliminary investigation revealed that the two were involved in a love triangle.
Mbeha indicated that the suspect was arrested on Monday after hiding for 16 hours, having fled the scene immediately after committing the crime.
She added that both the suspect and the victim are Angolan nationals.
