THE Namibian Police in the Erongo Region are asking the public to help identify the remains of a man found at Farm Tubusis Pos 2.
According to Chief Inspector Ileni Shapumba of the Erongo police, the discovery was made on Saturday, 18 January 2025, around 15:00.
He added that the decomposed body of an unidentified man, believed to be in his late 40s, was found by a herder in the field at Farm Tubusis Pos 2.
“The description is of a male person, dark in complexion, short (approximately 1.65m), believed to have died about a month ago. He was wearing green short trousers, without a T-shirt and without shoes,” Shapumba said.
He added that the body has been taken to the Walvis Bay Police mortuary for identification and a postmortem examination to determine the cause of death.
All efforts to trace the family have proven futile. Police are calling upon the public to assist in identification.
