THE Namibian police at Oshivelo in the Oshikoto Region have arrested one of two suspects who allegedly stole a goat, slaughtered it, made a fire, and cooked some of the meat on the spot before carting the remainder of the carcass away.
The crime was committed at Farm Omatale B2 at an unknown time on Monday.
The police said that a resident who observed the suspects committing the crime alerted members of the community, who promptly notified the police. The police recovered the carcass and arrested a 34-year-old suspect, but the other suspect was nowhere to be found.
The goat, valued at N$1,800, belonged to a 78-year-old female farmer.
