AN elderly couple in Henties Bay have been hospitalized after being brutally assaulted during a robbery on 8 January 2025.
According to Chief Inspector Ileni Shapumba, spokesperson for the Erongo Region police, a case of robbery under aggravating circumstances is being investigated after the couple was allegedly attacked and assaulted with a panga at their home.
“The incident took place at about 22:00 last night. The suspects fled with cash amounting to N$400, ATM cards, a vehicle, and a TV from the victims’ house. Both the car and TV have been recovered, but three suspects are still at large,” Shapumba reported.
