THE Namibian police at Okahandja, in the Otjozondjupa region, have arrested three male suspects in connection with the alleged possession of and/or dealing in illicit goods.
According to the police report, a 40-year-old truck driver, a 33-year-old taxi driver, and a 23-year-old taxi passenger were caught red-handed on Saturday evening at a rest area along the Hochfeld road while transferring boxes and bags of illicit liquor from the truck onto a 7-seater taxi.
The confiscated items include a large quantity of whisky sachets and bottles, estimated at a total value of N$412,800.
