MTC-Kilimanjaro Donates to Namalubi CS

MTC-KILIMANJARO Boxing Club on Monday donated a printer and two boxes of paper reams to Namalubi Combined School in the Zambezi Region.

This was done as part of the club’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative to ensure that Namibian children are supported in their education.

Club chairperson Bernard Joseph said that they understand the value of investing in education and saw it as beneficial to donate to the school.

According to Joseph, through boxing, they aim to invest the little they have in Namibian children and, at the same time, foster the development of young boxers.

“We want our people to benefit from the sponsorship we receive from MTC. I want to share the little I have with the Namibian people,” he said.

At the same occasion, Joseph handed over four pairs of gloves to the federation and donated additional funds.

Accepting the donation, Acting School Principal Andrey Sibeya said the printer came at the right time, as the school’s old printer no longer functions properly.

He thanked the club for the donation and promised to maintain it for the benefit of future generations.

Meanwhile, Zambezi Region Chairperson of the Boxing Federation, Lister Sabuta, told the learners that the donation comes from boxing as a career and that any learner with talent could go far in the sport.

Sabuta also encouraged the learners to take their education seriously and study hard.
