A 20-YEAR-OLD man allegedly committed suicide just hours after reportedly stabbing an unidentified person at Ohailulu Village in the Oshakati area.
The deceased has been identified as Naftal Nanghalikoshi Hangula.
Oshana Crime Investigation Coordinator, Deputy Commissioner Frederick Ndjadila, said the incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday.
Ndjadila indicated that the deceased hanged himself with a piece of rope, which he tied around his neck and secured to the branch of a tree in their mahangu field.
“The deceased was discovered by a passerby on their way to work,” he said.
Ndjadila further said that the deceased had been involved in a fight the previous night at Omavela Cuca Shops, where he stabbed a victim with a knife. The victim is allegedly admitted to Oshakati Intermediate Hospital.
The condition of the victim is yet to be confirmed.
