Copper Festival slated for this month

THE most anticipated occasion on Tsumeb’s events calendar, the Copper Festival, is slated to take place from 30 October to 2 November 2024.

The festival will be held under the theme “Celebrating Craftsmanship, Creativity, and Excellence in a Diverse Namibia.”

Chairperson of the Tsumeb Copper Festival, Julius Gaeseb, said the theme emphasizes the value of creativity and diversity.

Gaeseb mentioned that each year, they strive to make the festival bigger than the previous one, adding that they aim to bring in more exhibitors and expose new businesses to a wider consumer base.

“We encourage businesses, industry leaders, and investors to take advantage of the opportunities presented by the Copper Festival, where craftsmanship, creativity, and business excellence come together,” he said.

He added that this high-profile event will set the stage for a range of engagements designed to facilitate business collaboration, foster economic growth, and celebrate Namibia’s craftsmanship and industrial capabilities.

He stressed that the Tsumeb Copper Festival is not just an exhibition, but a strategic economic driver that attracts both local and international investment, builds business networks, and offers invaluable exposure for enterprises.

Gaeseb also indicated that the festival plays a critical role in promoting Tsumeb as a key economic hub and reinforces its importance within Namibia’s broader development agenda.

This year’s festival will be officially opened by Vice President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah.
