A 34-year-old man died in a car accident on Mandume Ndemufayo Avenue in Windhoek on Saturday.
The police identified the deceased as Jacques Roberto Kurz.
According to the police, he was a passenger in the vehicle, which was being driven by his girlfriend.
The couple were reportedly on their way home at around 01:33 on Saturday when the passenger allegedly pulled the vehicle’s handbrake. The driver then lost control of the vehicle, causing it to swerve and crash into a tree.
The police revealed that the driver sustained minor injuries, while the passenger died at the scene. The deceased’s next of kin have been informed.
