THE Namibian Police in Karasburg, in the //Karas Region, have arrested 12 suspects after violence broke out among gang members on Saturday morning.
According to the police, the fighting between gang members occurred between 05:30 and 06:00, with members chasing each other, throwing stones at houses, and attacking rival gang members with pangas, sticks, and pepper spray.
Twelve suspected gang members were arrested, some with injuries sustained during the fight.
The cause of the violence remains unknown to the police, as the suspects, aged between 15 and 29, have remained silent on the matter.
Five of the suspects are minors and have been released into the care of their parents, while the remaining seven are in police custody, pending their first court appearance on Monday.
