THE Namibian Police Force (NamPol) is seeking public assistance in tracing the whereabouts of Reinhold Garoeb (59), also known as Ou !Nub or Grote, who has been missing since 5 July 2024.
NamPol’s Head of Public Relations, Deputy Commissioner Shikwambi, revealed that Garoeb allegedly left his home in Damara Location, Windhoek, on the morning of 5 July 2024, informing his family that he was going to the hospital. However, he failed to return.
“The search was launched immediately, starting at Katutura Hospital. However, his name did not appear on the patient register. The search continued at various locations, including the mortuary and his usual hangout spots, but he was not found there either,” Shikwambi said.
She described Garoeb as tall, brown in complexion, and Khoekhoegowab-speaking. The clothes he wore at the time of his disappearance are unknown.
