A 25-year-old man was fatally stabbed at a bar in Swakopmund’s DRC location on Saturday, 14 September 2024.
The police identified the deceased as Johannes Ndaitipo.
According to the police, the deceased and the suspect were using a gambling machine at Kolombia Bar in Swakopmund when an argument broke out. The suspect then allegedly grabbed a knife to stab the deceased, but the bar owner intervened and separated the two.
“The suspect put the knife back, and the deceased went outside and returned with a cigarette. He lit it and went out again. A few minutes later, an elderly woman came running to the bar and informed others that someone who was at the bar had been stabbed. The person went out and found the man lying on the ground,” the police explained.
The police revealed that the suspect fled the scene but is well known. The deceased’s next of kin have been informed.
