A CASE of attempted murder is being investigated by police in the Omusati Region after a 34-year-old Angolan man reportedly attacked his girlfriend at Omahalya village in the Anamulenge Constituency.
Omusati’s Crime Investigation Coordinator, Deputy Commissioner Moses Simaho, said the incident occurred around 17:00 on Sunday.
“It is alleged that the suspect hit the victim with a brick on the right arm as well as on the head,” he said.
He added that this resulted in the victim sustaining a broken right arm and a swollen head.
The victim is currently receiving treatment at Outapi State Hospital.
Simaho indicated that the suspect has been arrested and will appear in the Outapi Magistrate’s Court this week.
