THE Namibian Police (NamPol) arrested a total of 130 suspects for drug-related offences in July.
The Head of NamPol’s Public Relations Division, Deputy Commissioner Kauna Shikwambi, revealed that the police confiscated a number of drugs from suspects last month. She disclosed that the confiscated drugs included 744,890.33 kilograms of cannabis, 850 Mandrax tablets, 123.5 grams of cocaine powder, and 97 units of crack cocaine.
Shikwambi further revealed that the arrested suspects comprised 120 Namibians, one Congolese, one Burundian, three Batswana, one Tanzanian, three Zambians, and one Zimbabwean national.
