SUSPECTS ARRESTED: Kamati Amutenya and Embula Lisias Iita, aged 14 and 18 respectively, were arrested recently and have appeared in the Magistrate’s Court at Okahao, Omusati Region, accused of having stolen a goat from the grazing fields in Amalika village.
“They drove away the complainant’s male goat from the grazing area and slaughtered it,” said the police.
Asino Milka Natangwe, the 57-year-old owner of the stolen billy, estimated its value at N$2,000. The carcass was recovered when the presumptive thieves were apprehended.
Meanwhile, yet another man was nabbed in the same area, also accused of stealing a goat. The complainant, Wilbard Uugwanga, a 39-year-old male resident of Uutsathima village, informed the police that his female goat, valued at N$1,800, was recently stolen from the grazing field.
The police recovered the carcass and arrested 34-year-old Jason Jason, who has already made his first court appearance at Okahao.
