FLYING THE FLAG HIGH: The current reigning Miss Teen Namibia, Oriana Ribeiro, has touched down in India, where the famous Ganges River roars among matted locks. Ribeiro, on her visit, will represent Namibia in the Miss Teen International event, which will be held on 7 July 2024. Umbi Karuaihe-Upi, Chief Executive Officer of the Miss Namibia Organisation, explained that Ribeiro was warmly welcomed by the organizers at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi. “She looked so beautiful in her Ondelela dress. She was taken to Park Hotel Radisson at Gurugram and met with other contestants. It’s her first trip outside the continent, and she is enjoying every bit of it. On day two, they took a nice trip from Delhi to Jaipur, or the Pink City as it is called. On 3 July 2024, the contestants will be heading to Agra where they will visit the famous Taj Mahal. She feels well-prepared and ready to take the crown,” Karuaihe-Upi said.
