A SECURITY guard was rushed to the hospital with serious stab wounds following a confrontation with a man who allegedly tried to jump the MTC queue at Outapi, Omusati Region, on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the police, the victim was maintaining order in the queue for those wanting to register their SIM cards. However, the suspect disregarded the queue and forcefully entered the MTC office.
In the ensuing confrontation, the security guard pepper-sprayed the “unruly” individual, who then pulled out a pocket knife and stabbed the 23-year-old Twamoneni Abner Kambata, an employee of Windhoek Security Services. The victim was transported to Oshakati Intermediate Hospital for treatment, and the suspect was arrested on a charge of attempted murder.
