A RESIDENT of Ondjiva, the capital city of the southern Cunene province of Angola, fell victim to unknown thieves who targeted his stationary vehicle and stole a large amount of money in Namibian, Angolan and European currencies and other valuable items.
The incident occurred at the Game Complex at Oshakati on Saturday afternoon.
According to the police, the 35-year-old Abel Sawimbo, a self-employed resident of Ondjiva, parked his grey Toyota Hilux (registration number HLP-97-93) in the parking area where unknown suspects tampered with the door’s lock and gained entry.
The stolen property include a laptop, a Samsung tablet, two bags, two Angolan passports, a pair of shoes, an assortment of male clothes and a sizable amount of money: N$30,000, KZ38,000 and 50 Euros.
No arrest was made yet and the stolen items were not recovered either.
