ANTICIPATING very poor grazing as a result of insufficient rainfall this season, livestock farmers in the Northern regions have started harvesting grass in urban centres to store up for the day when there will be no grazing left.

Unemployed town dwellers have also seized the opportunity, harvesting grass (see picture) to sell to livestock farmers.
While there is abundant grass in iishana and open spaces in the towns where grazing is not allowed, livestock farmers in rural villages are already beset with poor grazing.
