A 41-YEAR-OLD Namibian woman, identified as Natalia Matias, passed away after allegedly ingesting cockroach pesticide.
According to Warrant Officer Tashiya Tuyenikelao from the Erongo police, the suicide incident occurred on Tuesday, 2 April 2024, at about 15:30, at Single Quarters, Mondesa, Swakopmund.
It is alleged that the deceased was rushed to Swakopmund State Hospital by her friends, but she was sadly declared dead by medical personnel upon arrival.
Her body was kept at Swakopmund State Hospital morgue, and an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
The victim’s next of kin have been informed, and police investigation continues.
