GONDWANA Collection Namibia will be introducing two new retreats later this year: ‘The Ekipa’, nestled among the Mopane trees near Etosha National Park, and ‘The Nest’, concealed within the captivating red Kalahari dunes.

Christiaan Jacobie, Gondwana’s Public Relations Officer, disclosed that both The Ekipa and The Nest will open as of 1 November as additions to Gondwana’s Secret Collection. Jacobie explained that the two luxurious retreats aim to offer an all-inclusive, immersive experience tailored for two, blending natural surroundings with modern luxury.

The Ekipa is situated approximately 10 kilometres (km) from Etosha National Park’s Anderson Gate. Jacobie revealed that it is named after the handcrafted decorative button worn by Aawambo women, symbolizing wealth and tradition.

The Nest, located around 30km northeast of Mariental in the Gondwana Kalahari Park, draws inspiration from the traditions of the Khoi San people. It aims to provide tranquillity and privacy, featuring a plunge pool overlooking a private waterhole.

“The Kalahari is an enchanting place, where even in the dry desert landscape Fauna and Flora flourish. A true sanctuary of the senses, where the gentle rustle of the breeze through the trees and grasses enthrals you during your stay,” Jacobie added.

Gys Joubert, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Gondwana, encouraged travellers to make time to explore these soon-to-open exclusive sanctuaries, to indulge in luxury, experience Gondwana’s hospitality, and embark on an unforgettable journey.

“Our vision with The Ekipa and The Nest is to provide guests with an extraordinary journey that transcends time and space, leaving an indelible mark on their souls,” Joubert added.
