THE Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) has shortlisted 366 candidates for positions of supervisor of registration/returning officer for all 14 regions.
The Omusati Region has the biggest number of shortlisted candidates, namely 38, while ||Karas has the smallest with 15.
The candidates are expected to attend interview sessions in various towns from March 4th to 6th.
The shortlisted candidates for the Omusati Region will attend interviews at Swakopmund on Monday.
Other interviews scheduled for Monday will take place at Mariental for the Khomas candidates; at Rundu for the Zambezi candidates, and at Ondangwa for the Otjozondjupa candidates.
The candidates for Oshikoto will sit for interviews at Ondangwa on Tuesday. On the same day, Ohangwena candidates will have interviews at Rundu; candidates from the Kunene region will do the same at Swakopmund, while the Omaheke and ||Karas candidates will attend separate interview sessions at Mariental.
Interviews for Erongo, Hardap, and Oshana candidates will take place on Wednesday at Swakopmund, Mariental, and Ondangwa, respectively.
Also on Wednesday, Rundu town will host two separate interview sessions for the Kavango-East and Kavango-West candidates.
