OSHIKOTO Governor Penda Ya Ndakolo remarked that President Hage Geingob’s death has profoundly affected many lives, and those who have not been touched by his passing should refrain from making disrespectful comments.
Ya Ndakolo made these remarks during the special regional memorial service held at Omuthiya ELCIN church on Wednesday, emphasizing that some individuals have begun spreading unnecessary rumours and negativity, which is unacceptable.
“There are people in our midst celebrating the death of the President. Who does that and why?” he questioned.
He further questioned the mental state of those engaging in such behaviour, particularly when they resort to using social media platforms to express their sentiments.
Ya Ndakolo emphasized that individuals cannot aspire to lead a nation if their hearts are filled with malevolent words, and if they abuse their democratic rights.
He added that if individuals have nothing constructive to contribute, it is better for them to remain in their homes. Peace is essential for the well-being of the country.
