THE police in the Erongo Region are looking into a case of attempted rape after a 17-year-old reportedly came dangerously close to being raped.
Erongo Community Affairs Officer Warrant Anna Frans said the incident, which occurred last week Friday at a farm in the Uis area, was only recently reported to the police.
According to Frans, the suspect, a 22-year-old man, allegedly entered the victim’s room through the door and removed her clothes while she was asleep, attempting to assault her.
The suspect has been arrested.
