Omaheke police spokesperson Inspector Fina Sakajengenga said the suspect was caught at the Trans Kalahari border post in the Gobabis District.
According to Sakajengenga, the suspect was driving a Trans Desert truck with Windhoek registration from South Africa through Botswana into Namibia at the time of the arrest.
“After the scanning process by NamRA officials, a search was conducted, and 5 boxes containing 76 parcels of pure cannabis were found,” she said.
She added that the drugs weighed 75,850 grams and were valued at N$3,792,500.
Sakajengenga indicated that a case of dealing or importation of a dependence-producing substance has been opened.
