THE police in Oshikoto have arrested a 44-year-old man after finding him in possession of cannabis worth N$2 950 at Farm Tsumore, east of the Tsumeb District.
The suspect, who was employed as a farmworker, is expected to make his court appearance this week.
Oshikoto police commander Commissioner Teopolina Kalompo-Nashikaku said the suspect was apprehended during a police operation.
According to Kalompo-Nashikaku, they received reports of drug dealing activities at the farm, prompting them to conduct a search in the accused person’s room where they found cannabis.
She said that the police discovered 177 bags of cannabis, weighing a total of 295 grams.
