NO one was injured but two government vehicles were seriously damaged when the motorcade of Prime Minister Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila was involved in an accident on Wednesday evening.
The Prime Minister was travelling from the Ohangwena Region where she attended a ceremony hosted by Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, her deputy.
According to the police, the accident occurred on the Onandjaba-Outapi main road in the Omusati Region shortly after sunset.

It is alleged that one vehicle crashed into another when the one in front slowed down due to the presence of a donkey on the road.
“No one was injured. Only the two vehicles were damaged,” said Commissioner Ismael Basson, Nampol’s regional commander.
Nandi-Ndaitwah hosted a ceremony at her traditional residence in the Okongo area of Ohangwena on Wednesday to commemorate her survival in a fatal motor accident five years ago.
Nandi-Ndaitwah was seriously injured when her vehicle collided head-on with another vehicle between Tsumeb and Oshivelo on 28 December 2022.
One person died in the accident.
PM Kuugongelwa-Amadhila and her deputy Nandi-Ndaitwah were rivals at the recent Swapo Party congress where both tied for the party’s vice president position.
Nandi-Ndaitwah won.
