THE police at Osire have arrested three people ages 35 and 36 for the theft of a solar water pump on Friday.
The three also face charges of trespassing, after entering the Mara No. 460 farm, Osire area, Otjiwarongo district, in Otjozondjupa Region.
According to the police weekend report issued by public relations officer Inspector Raimbert Muronga, the suspects allegedly entered the farm and stole the water pump at the main post.
“The suspects were tracked through their shoe prints that were left on the scene,” he said.
He added that they were later apprehended after being found in a vehicle they got a lift on C22 road near Omupanda village in the Okakarara area with the water pump in their possession.
The police recovered one Grundfos Solar Water Pump valued at N$25 000.
The three will appear in court on Tuesday, in Otjiwarongo magistrate court.
Police investigations continue.
