TRADERS at Onhuno will soon be able to do business in a safe and secured area as a new trading market was built.
Helao Nafidi Mayor Darius Shaalukeni said the new open market is expected to open soon.
Shaalukeni stated that the open market was built with the assistance of the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) and the line ministry.
“This will stimulate grassroot micro economical activities in our town and improve the livelihoods of those who will get the chance to get stalls in this open market,” he said.
He added that this is one of their achievements under the Harambee Prosperity Plan ll, pillar four, infrastructure development.
Shaalukeni emphasised that infrastructure is a key enabler to unlock development in local and regional jurisdictions.
Hence, he indicated that they are simply implementing that for their people.
He urged the traders who will be the beneficiaries to take care of this facility and guard it jealously.
