A TWENTY-SIX-YEAR-OLD Angolan man has been arrested at the Oshivelo check-point after being found in possession of an unlicensed firearm and a large amount of cash recently.
According to police commander commissioner Theopoline Kalompo-Nashikaku, the suspect has been arrested during a police search carried out at the check-point.

“During the search, we found an unlicensed firearm, 47 ammunition, over N$ 157 000 cash, 30 thousand US$ and 230 Angolan Kwanza in his possession,” she said.
Kalompo-Nashikaku stated a case of money laundering and being found in possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition has now been opened.
Police investigation into the matter continues.
