AN ANGOLAN national died tragically in the Kalkfeld area while trying to run away from a veld fire that encircled him on Saturday.
Kamulitua Joao (33) died at Okarumwe North Number 72 farm.
In his attempt to escape death he ended up being encircled by flames and was burnt beyond recognition.
The burnt remains were conveyed to the Otjiwarongo state mortuary.
