TJIENDA Johannes, 71, has been admitted to hospital for chest pain after the vehicle he was driving overturned on Thursday.
Police Commander, Commissioner Theopoline Kalompo-Nashikaku, said the incident occurred on the main road between Oshivelo and Omuthiya.
Kalompo-Nashikaku alleged that the injured, who was driving the truck lost control after the front right tyre of the vehicle burst and overturned.
“The truck was carrying bags of sugars, maize meals and instant porridges. No serious injuries were recorded,” she said.
She added that the driver was taken to Omuthiya Hospital for treatment.
A case of reckless and/or negligent driving is being investigated by the police.
