TWO Okahandja residents who returned home late Saturday evening were ambushed and robbed by unknown suspects who smashed their vehicle’s windows.
It is alleged that a 52-year-old woman and her teenage daughter arrived home at around 22:00, parked the vehicle in the parking area and were disembarking when they were attacked by four men, three of which wore balaclavas. The victims were held at gunpoint and the car windows were smashed.
The robbers stole groceries that were in shopping bags and two cellphones. They fired shots and then fled from the scene.
The value of the stolen items is not known and no arrest has been made.
