RESIDENTS of Windhoek will have to face two weekends of water supply interruptions on the weekends of 15 July and 29 July respectively.
This interruption is due to planned shutdowns of the Von Bach-Windhoek supply line by NamWater for 48 hours.
The water interruptions will occur from Friday, 15 July, at 18:00 to Sunday, 17 July, at 18:00. The second supply interruptions will be from 29 July at 18:00 to Sunday 31 July at 18:00.
The City of Windhoek will commission the borehole scheme to augment the water shortage as a result of the interrupted supply from NamWater. Residents are urged to use water sparingly during these periods to avoid running out of water.
Residents in the Brakwater area who get water directly from the Okahandja-Windhoek line should make alternative arrangements for this period as they will have no water.
